NIMBY

Apparently, even advocates of solar energy don't want it in their back yard. I love seeing this.

The larger issue here is where are these going to go, if not in the desert. So much land is required for even a token amount to energy, that vast amounts of acreage will be covered with solar panels. The amount of sunshine received in a desert environment makes it a perfect setting for solar arrays.

As an advocate of nuclear power and someone who spent many years in the business, I've followed the Luddites who believe anything disrupting nature is just plain bad. There has to be a balance somewhere. I saw this coming 30 years ago. Solar panels take up too much habitat. Windmills are an eyesore or kill migratory bird and bats. I wish they would make up their minds.
